Lando Norris, the Formula 1 driver known for his LN4 brand, is taking a bigger step by forming a new junior racing team with Rene Rosin, former Prema boss. The project, named LN4 Fusion, was announced with big ambitions to compete at every level of junior single-seater racing, from Formula 4 to Formula 2.
Their first move is acquiring assets from AIX Racing, including an entry for the 2027 FIA Formula 3 championship. They have also submitted entries for Italian F4 and the Formula Regional European Championship (FREC), with plans to apply for a spot in the new Formula 2 cycle starting next year. An additional program in British F4 is also being explored.
Lando Norris explained his motivation to build a race team that can compete with the best in junior motorsport. "I've been really lucky to have some amazing people around me throughout my career, and I know that getting to Formula 1 takes so much more than just talent. You need the right people around you, the right support and the right opportunities at the right time," he said.
According to the team, Norris will play an active role in shaping the team's identity, culture, and driver development approach. Meanwhile, Dan Richards, who is Chief Operating Officer of Just Develop It Ltd (the investment group behind the project), will serve as CEO and lead corporate strategy, including ownership structure and governance.
The involvement of Rene Rosin is a major highlight. After establishing Prema as a dominant force in European junior racing, Rosin returns to the paddock as team principal of LN4 Fusion in a consultancy capacity. He was joined by his wife, Angelina Ertsou, and renowned engineer Guillaume Capietto, who will take on the role of Racing Director. They were present in the F2/F3 paddock during the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, signaling the project's seriousness.
LN4 Fusion will be based in Veneto, northern Italy, while British operations will be run by Dan Hazlewood from a base in Cambridgeshire. With Rosin's experience, strong financial backing, and Norris's vision, this project has the potential to become a force to be reckoned with in junior racing. Fans will surely be watching how this team performs in the coming seasons.
