MotoGP has officially launched the first edition of MotoGP Fan Fest in Barcelona ahead of the 2026 Catalan Grand Prix. The event will take place on 13-14 May at Plaça Catalunya in the city centre before racing action begins at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya from 15-17 May.
The Fan Fest will run daily from 12:00 to 21:00 local time and is designed as an immersive experience for MotoGP fans. Activities will include MotoGP simulators, replica race bikes, gaming zones, and entertainment areas supported by official event partners.
The event will also feature appearances from several leading MotoGP riders. Reigning world champion Marc Marquez is scheduled to appear alongside Joan Mir, Alex Rins, Pedro Acosta, and 2026 Spanish Grand Prix winner Alex Marquez.
The riders will appear on the main stage on 13 May between 18:00 and 19:00 local time. Prior to that, several Moto2 and Moto3 riders are also expected to participate in fan interaction sessions.
Strategically, the Fan Fest forms part of MotoGP’s broader effort to expand direct fan engagement beyond the race circuit environment. Barcelona was selected due to its strong MotoGP fanbase and its long-standing importance within the world championship calendar.
Beyond recreating a paddock atmosphere in the city centre, the event also serves as an important commercial platform through partnerships with brands such as Monster Energy and Estrella Galicia 0,0.
Marc Marquez’s presence is expected to become the event’s main attraction given his status as Spain’s leading MotoGP figure and reigning world champion. The situation is also likely to increase anticipation ahead of the Catalan GP, which is expected to become one of the most heavily attended races of the season.
By combining entertainment, interactive technology, and direct rider access, the Barcelona MotoGP Fan Fest represents a new step in Dorna’s strategy to modernise fan engagement ahead of MotoGP’s next era.
