Kimi Antonelli and his teammate are preparing for a crucial race weekend at the Circuit of the Americas with a completely refreshed visual presentation. Ahead of this weekend's racing action, the German manufacturer officially unveiled a striking blue livery for the Formula 1 event in Austin, Texas.
This fresh design was developed alongside the exclusive MANUFAKTUR personalization program, completely transforming the W17's usual silver hue into deep blue tones, particularly prominent across the nose section of the challenger. The move also serves to showcase the bespoke paint and handcrafted material services currently growing in popularity among road car buyers across the United States.
The personalization efforts extend far beyond the chassis, reaching directly into the drivers' race weekend equipment. George Russell is set to wear a vintage blue race suit, while Antonelli will don a steel blue alternative. Both drivers will also utilize matched Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe road cars, complementing the transformed team garage setup at the Circuit of the Americas.
Beyond the track activities, the Brackley-based squad has organized extensive commercial activations across Austin to engage directly with passionate fans. These engagements include a complimentary fan hub opening Thursday at 400 Congress Avenue, alongside themed exhibitions located at prominent spots throughout the city.
Team principal Toto Wolff emphasized that the Austin weekend carries immense significance for the manufacturer both in a sporting context and commercial value. Austin will serve as an important weekend off track with numerous commercial activities taking place across the city, centered around AMG and the MANUFAKTUR takeover highlighting craftsmanship.
