Maserati Corse officially introduced a technology designed specifically to help customers master these crucial skills at the Motorsports Club of Clubs 2026 event held in Tampa, Florida.
Named Maserati project Track Assist by AS.CAR.I, the system acts as an authentic digital trainer developed through a joint project between the Trident manufacturer and the Italian startup AS.CAR.I. The core technology, software, and algorithms remain the property of AS.CAR.I, while Maserati focused intensely on integration, calibration, and specific validation for its own high-performance cars.
The system was showcased aboard the Maserati GT2 Stradale during dedicated demonstration sessions and hot laps at The Motor Enclave, hosting the sixth edition of the event organized by Tilke from October 26 to 28, 2026. The heartbeat of this technology is the Active Performance Control, currently undergoing deep integration and validation on the GT2 Stradale platform.
This advanced system interfaces directly with the vehicle's integrated braking system, managing braking and acceleration actively to help drivers locate optimal braking points relative to the circuit layout, reduce errors, and maintain the most appropriate apex speed. This is not a conventional driving assistance system meant to replace the driver, but rather a powerful learning tool that transforms every lap into an opportunity to understand vehicle dynamics better.
The underlying philosophy aims to elevate driver capabilities rather than suppress them, ensuring pure sports driving thrills remain intact. As the next milestone, Track Assist is set to be fully integrated starting in the 2027 season into the prestigious Master Maserati Driving Experience program, positioning the brand at the forefront of advanced driver training.
