Marc Marquez claimed a commanding victory in the MotoGP Sprint at Mobility Resort Motegi on Saturday. The Ducati factory rider seized control of the race right from the start lights and maintained his advantage across twelve laps to take the checkered flag.
The opening lap immediately delivered high drama at turn two. An incident involving Alex Marquez, Pedro Acosta, and Fabio Di Giannantonio resulted in a multi-rider crash that forced all three contenders into an early retirement.
At the front, Marquez steadily built a comfortable gap over his pursuers. Meanwhile, rookie sensation Diogo Moreira delivered a stellar charge through the field during the second half of the afternoon sprint.

The race classification experienced a major post-race shake-up when both Jorge Martin and Enea Bastianini received one-position penalty drops for exceeding track limits on the final lap.
The penalties elevated Moreira to a sensational second place, marking his maiden premier-class podium. Martin was classified third, narrowing his championship lead over Marquez to just seven points.
