Formula 1, Sportrik Media - Liam Lawson is set to be investigated by FIA stewards following the 2026 Austrian Grand Prix over an alleged practice start infringement at the Red Bull Ring.

The Racing Bulls driver is suspected of failing to follow the Race Director's instructions regarding the designated practice start area. The investigation will take place after the race, meaning his starting position remains unaffected.

FIA has not yet confirmed the exact nature of the alleged infringement. However, it is believed Lawson may have carried out a practice start outside the designated location before completing his laps to the starting grid.
