KYMCO is expanding its footprint in the three-wheeled vehicle segment following the successful market consolidation of its flagship maxi-scooter in Europe. The manufacturer is now developing a brand-new, mid-displacement project tailored specifically to tackle the daily demands of congested city commuting.
As reported by Motosan.es, recent patent filings in China reveal the design blueprint of this upcoming urban machine. Unlike its larger sibling, this new model adopts a slimmer, more agile bodywork configuration, demonstrating KYMCO's commitment to offering diverse multi-wheel solutions for everyday riders.
Focusing heavily on daily practicality, the scooter features a flat floorboard design. This thoughtful ergonomic touch significantly eases rider mounting while providing a stable, extra surface area for carrying small cargo. Furthermore, the vehicle incorporates a stepped dual-level seat structure complete with dedicated passenger grab handles.

Mechanically, the patent outlines a single-cylinder engine setup paired with a pivoting layout. Up front, the trike utilizes a deformable parallelogram front suspension system with a noticeably simpler architecture than existing high-performance models. Each front wheel operates independently through a single-sided swinging arm.
Large individual front fenders are also integrated to effectively deflect road spray and debris during wet urban conditions. While the patent documentation primarily outlines the visual design and structural layout without confirming a commercial release date, it clearly highlights KYMCO's ambitions in the city transport sector.
