Jack Miller missed his final home MotoGP race after the 2026 Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island was cancelled due to extreme weather and dangerous visibility. Although denied the chance to bid farewell through the main race, the Yamaha rider still received strong support from his home crowd.
The 2026 season marks Miller's final campaign in the premier class before he moves to WorldSBK with Pata Maxus Yamaha in 2027. He had secured fifth place in qualifying and scored his first Sprint points of the season.

Following the cancellation announcement, Miller chose to meet fans who had endured heavy rain and strong winds. He waved to supporters and signed autographs, giving an otherwise disappointing weekend a meaningful conclusion.

The cancellation ended Miller's opportunity to close his MotoGP journey in front of Australian fans through the main race. However, safety remained the priority amid conditions considered too dangerous for competition.
Miller's next step is a new chapter with Pata Maxus Yamaha in WorldSBK in 2027, following a MotoGP career that saw him represent Honda, Ducati, KTM and Yamaha.
