The Formula 1 weekend in Sepang ended in bitter disappointment for Isack Hadjar, who watched a potential podium slip away in the closing stages. Starting eighth on the grid due to a power unit penalty, the Frenchman navigated treacherous wet conditions brilliantly on intermediate tires, slicing his way up to fourth and eventually inheriting third following late drama.
However, a chaotic four-lap sprint following the final safety car restart exposed severe limitations in his machinery. Stricken by a sudden lack of electrical deployment and abysmal mechanical grip, he proved an easy target on the straights and tumbled down to fifth place at the checkered flag.

"Something was wrong, because I can't possibly be a second a lap slower now," Hadjar vented, frustrated by a car he described as horrible to drive. The sudden battery drain during the restart window robbed him of any defensive capability against charging rivals behind him.

While teammate Max Verstappen delivered Red Bull Racing their first Grand Prix victory of the season, Hadjar struggled to find solace in the team's broader success, labeling his own Sunday afternoon an absolute disaster.
