Lewis Hamilton secured a remarkable third-place podium finish at Sepang following a dramatic recovery drive from the back of the grid.
An early strategic blunder saw Ferrari gamble on slick tyres on a damp track, leaving the British driver a full minute behind the race leader in the opening stages.
Despite the nightmare start, Hamilton capitalized on a Safety Car intervention without pitting, systematically fighting his way back through the midfield pack.

Speaking to Sky Italia, Hamilton admitted the team mistakenly assumed their rivals would also opt for dry tyres before realizing it was too late to react.
A flawless second half of the race, capped off by a decisive overtake on Isack Hadjar, successfully returned the veteran driver to the F1 rostrum.
