Bortoleto Reveals Audi 'Truth' After Major Changes

Gabriel Bortoleto has opened up about the massive transformation he has witnessed since Audi officially took over the team formerly known as Stake F1. The Brazilian driver says the change goes far beyond a name, marking a complete shift in mentality and working culture.

In an exclusive interview, Gabriel Bortoleto admitted he is highly impressed by Audi's ambition and financial backing. According to him, the Hinwil-based squad no longer faces the struggles it did in the past as Sauber.

"You can really see a difference, especially the mentality has shifted a lot. Lots of respect for the team we had last year and many other years before that, but the truth is we are in a different situation right now," Bortoleto said.

The most striking change is the arrival of their own power unit developed in Neuburg. Bortoleto believes Audi's achievement in building their first Formula 1 engine under new regulations is incredible, though he is aware there is still plenty of work to do.

"We know we are behind and need to improve. But what they did in Neuburg is not easy. Hats off to them," he added.

With full support from Audi, Bortoleto is optimistic about achieving big targets in the future. He stressed that the team's goals are clear and everyone is working hard to reach them.

The change is also visible in the way personnel behave and work. Bortoleto noted the difference compared to last year, signaling a new chapter full of hope for the Swiss outfit.
