Fernandez Claims Mandalika MotoGP Pole, Marquez Outqualifies Martin

The roar of MotoGP engines echoed through the Mandalika Circuit, where Raul Fernandez delivered a career-defining performance to secure his maiden premier-class pole position during a thrilling qualifying session at the Indonesian Grand Prix on Saturday. The Trackhouse Racing rider successfully converted his stellar practice pace into a historic result, topping the timesheets with a brilliant final flying lap.

Behind the pacesetting Spaniard, a tense battle unfolded for the remainder of the front row. Factory Aprilia rider Marco Bezzecchi clinched second place after an intense fight. The Italian looked on course to challenge for the ultimate lap time, but was forced to abort his final run due to yellow flags deployed at Turn 16 following a late crash by Fermin Aldeguer. Meanwhile, VR46's Fabio di Giannantonio rounded out the front row in a solid third position.

The drama extended further down the grid during a fascinating tactical duel between two championship protagonists. Utilizing a clever following strategy on track, Marc Marquez managed to extract maximum performance from his factory Ducati. The multiple world champion edged out his title rival Jorge Martin, securing fourth place on the grid and relegating the championship leader to a distant fifth position ahead of Sunday's main race.
