F1 Spanish GP 2026 FP3: Live at 12.30, Last Practice Session

The third and final practice session (FP3) for the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix 2026 at the Madring Circuit in Madrid will be the last chance for drivers to fine-tune their cars before qualifying. The session is scheduled to start at 12:30 local time and will run for one hour until 13:30. Teams and drivers must make every minute count to perfect their setups.

In FP2, Mercedes once again showed dominance through Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who set the fastest time. He was over a tenth of a second ahead of the Ferrari duo, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. This performance signals that Mercedes are ready to compete at the new Madrid track.

On the other hand, McLaren have work to do after Lando Norris suffered a gearbox issue in FP2. Norris only completed a few laps and ended up near the bottom of the timesheets. However, the characteristics of the Madring circuit, which demand aerodynamic balance and high traction, could be an opportunity for McLaren to bounce back if the technical issues can be resolved.

FP3 will determine the direction of the battle at the Spanish GP. Teams will try different tyre compounds and qualifying simulations. Weather conditions in Madrid are expected to be hot and dry, so tyre temperature management will be crucial. This session is also the last chance for drivers to test their latest upgrade packages before qualifying and the race.
