Esteban Ocon has broken his silence to categorically deny allegations of physical violence following a dramatic and sudden fallout with the Haas Formula 1 team ahead of the Mexico City Grand Prix weekend at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
The French driver was abruptly benched on Saturday morning just hours before final practice, with reserve driver Ryo Hirakawa stepping into the cockpit. The sudden change without immediate detailed explanation from the team principal Ayao Komatsu immediately sparked intense paddock speculation regarding a major internal crisis within the American outfit.
Reports from French publication L'Equipe had suggested a potential physical altercation occurred on Friday evening between Esteban Ocon and team management following the completion of practice sessions. Addressing these heavy rumors directly, the driver issued a formal statement rejecting any claims of violence.

"Following the recent decision from Haas F1 Team confirming that I will not be participating in this weekend's Mexico City Grand Prix, I wish to formally address some media reports and speculation surrounding the situation," Esteban Ocon stated.
"Last night, a difference in viewpoints led to a discussion with the parties involved. Whilst I acknowledge that this took place, I categorically reject any reports or allegations suggesting that any form of physical violence was used to resolve any differences of any nature."
The tension within the garage had earlier spilled over during Friday's second practice session during a tense radio exchange between the driver and race engineer Laura Mueller concerning tyre compounds and long-run strategy.
"I strongly condemn violence in all its forms and firmly believe that disagreements should always be handled with professionalism, respect, and mutual understanding," Esteban Ocon added, requesting that speculation be halted while the matter is formally addressed by all relevant parties.
