Nicolo Bulega has sealed the 2026 WorldSBK championship with a second-place finish in Race 2 at Cremona on Sunday. The Aruba.it Racing Ducati rider finished behind Iker Lecuona, but it was enough to secure the title with a 133-point margin over Lecuona in the standings.
Lecuona took his third win of the weekend, adding to his impressive tally at Cremona. He now sits second in the championship, 200 points clear of his factory Ducati teammate Yari Montella, who finished third.
Montella strengthened his hold on third place after a damaging Race 1 crash. He is now 43 points ahead of Alex Lowes and 50 points clear of Sam Lowes, who crashed out of Race 2.
For Bulega, it was his third second-place finish of the weekend. His consistency throughout the season has been unmatched. Lecuona, despite his three wins, had to settle for runner-up.
