Despite the setback, Bezzecchi believes the RS-GP has the speed to fight Ducati. “Of course the Misano error hurts, but we will try to turn that pain into determination for Austria,” he stated. The circuit's demands for acceleration and stability will test Aprilia's chassis.
Jorge Martin: Physical Test Before Surgery
On the other side of the garage, Jorge Martin faces extra pressure. Compartment syndrome in his right arm hasn't fully subsided. The Austrian track, known for heavy braking, will test his muscle endurance. Martin is aware that Marquez keeps closing in on the standings, making this weekend decisive.
“We had good pace until my arm tightened; after Austria we'll evaluate how to manage this issue and look for solutions,” Martin said. He chose to postpone surgery until after the evaluation, focusing on the upcoming Asian rounds.
For Aprilia, the Austrian result is not just about points but momentum. The Noale-based team needs to prove they can consistently compete on a track dominated by Ducati. If Bezzecchi and Martin can perform strongly, the championship could shift.
