Marco Bezzecchi made a stunning return to MotoGP action by breaking Silverstone's lap record in Friday practice for the 2026 British Grand Prix. The Aprilia rider's 1m 56.280s lap left him 0.335s clear of Raul Fernandez.
Fabio di Giannantonio was the only non-Aprilia rider in the top three, finishing ahead of championship leader Jorge Martin and Ai Ogura. Marc Marquez briefly topped the timesheets before settling for sixth.
Pecco Bagnaia's late mistake dropped him out of the top ten, forcing him into Q1. Pedro Acosta also crashed but recovered to tenth. Home hero Cal Crutchlow finished 20th in his first British GP appearance since 2021.

With Q2 places on the line, Saturday's qualifying promises intense battles across the grid.
