Marco Bezzecchi is using the MotoGP summer break to train at Misano, but his admission about his knee still giving him trouble has raised eyebrows. The Aprilia rider acknowledged that his recovery from shoulder and knee injuries is not yet complete, especially after a demanding weekend at Silverstone.
During a training session with the VR46 Academy at the Misano circuit, Bezzecchi lapped on an RSV4 alongside teammates including Pecco Bagnaia. Despite that, he still feels the effects of his injuries, particularly his knee, which he says has been 'giving him more trouble'.
“I’m quite well. It’s true that after Silverstone I had a slight relapse, as we expected, because the shoulder, but especially the knee, were put under significant stress throughout the weekend, so I’m still recovering,” he told GPOne. He added that his shoulder has improved a lot, but his knee is not yet fully fit.

Ahead of the Aragon Grand Prix, Bezzecchi is reluctant to set specific physical targets. “We’ll have to grit our teeth, for sure. I can’t give you a percentage because I want to wait and see, because from this bike to MotoGP there’s a big difference and the feelings I had at Silverstone were physically tough. I hope it will be better,” he said. Despite that, he expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the British weekend, where he took two third-place finishes.
Second in the championship, 31 points behind Jorge Martin, Bezzecchi remains confident. However, at Aragon, much attention will be on Marc Marquez, who has never been beaten at that circuit since 2024. Racing resumes on August 28-30, and a fierce battle is expected.
