The global sportscar scene is heating up as young talents from the Australasian region gear up for the highly anticipated Porsche Junior Shootout. Selected drivers from various one-make championships around the world will go head-to-head for a prestigious scholarship prize targeting the Formula 1 support category, the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.
Among the standout contenders, Zaid Sumich enters the shootout following an impressive rookie campaign in the Carrera Cup Middle East. Despite the cancellation of the final two rounds due to ongoing regional conflicts, his stellar performances earned him a well-deserved runner-up finish in the overall standings.
Building on his international experience, the young Australian has also tested his racecraft in both the competitive Carrera Cup Germany and select Supercup rounds throughout the current racing season, sharpening his skills ahead of the ultimate showdown.

Representing New Zealand, Callum Giltrap secured his nomination after claiming a commanding championship victory in Carrera Cup Asia. He outpaced his rivals following a dominant run toward the end of the season, cementing his status as one of the region's rising sportscar stars.
They will be joined by fellow Kiwi Clay Osborne, who was chosen by Porsche Motorsport Australia to represent the domestic series. The intense evaluation for the Porsche Junior Shootout will take place in November at the Algarve International Circuit in Portimao, Portugal.
