Racing Bulls has officially announced that Team Principal Alan Permane has signed a major contract extension to remain at the helm until the end of the 2031 season. This strategic decision secures long-term stability for the Faenza-based squad as they continue their strong campaign in the fiercely contested Formula 1 midfield.
The veteran engineering guru initially joined the team at the start of 2024 as Racing Director before being promoted to his current leadership role. Alongside his duties as Team Principal, Permane also serves as Co-CEO of the sporting side, working in tandem with Peter Bayer who manages the commercial operations of the organisation.
The extension reflects high praise from the senior leadership at Red Bull. Oliver Mintzlaff, Red Bull's CEO of Corporate Projects and Investments, lauded the calmness, composure, and immense experience that Permane brings to the pit wall.

Expressing his thoughts on the renewal, Oliver Mintzlaff stated, "Alan is doing a tremendous job, and the progress the team has made is a direct reflection of his experience, commitment, and competitive mindset." Mintzlaff emphasized how vital this continuity is for the squad's future development.
Reflecting on his commitment, Alan Permane shared his pride in leading the organization forward. "I am immensely proud to be continuing this journey with VCARB, and I would like to thank everyone at Red Bull for the trust and support they have given me," said Permane regarding his long-term future with the team.
He further highlighted the collective effort behind their recent midfield battles. "Fighting for fifth in the Championship is something we should all be very proud of, but it is the result of years of hard work from a lot of people, and we are not done yet," Permane concluded.
