The heartbreak of the Sandown 500 elimination has forced Will Brown to shift his complete focus toward team glory. Driving the #888 entry, Brown saw his championship aspirations dashed after difficult finishes of 20th and seventh during a chaotic weekend. Entering the event sitting precariously on the cut-off line in fifth place, his standings plummeted to seventh by Sunday evening, officially knocking him out of the grueling Finals Series contention.
Conversely, his teammate Broc Feeney managed to weather the storm brilliantly. Starting the weekend firmly in second position, Feeney kept his composure to secure a crucial third-place finish and keep his title hopes alive. With the championship finale looming on the unforgiving streets of Adelaide, Brown has openly embraced a supporting role, vowing to act as a rear-gunner to shield his teammate from formidable rivals.
"It feels like the season is done," Brown admitted during the Fox Sports coverage following his elimination. "I’m like, 'oh well, I’m knocked out of the championship, I might as well go have some fun'. Turns out I do have to race at Adelaide. I’ll be there supporting Broc. I’ll do what I can to help the team out there. Obviously it’s great to have him in the Finals, disappointing that I’m not in there."

Brown's campaign has been hampered by early technical hurdles, including an undersized restrictor that significantly capped his car's performance before the Ipswich Super440 turnaround. Despite clawing his way back up the points ladder to fifth, the disappointment remains raw. Heading to Adelaide, however, Brown insists that team strategy will dictate his aggressive driving style without crossing ethical lines of fair racing.
"At the end of the day, we don’t want to do anything silly and take competitors out or anything like that," Brown explained regarding his tactical approach. "But obviously there’s no doubt about it, I’m sure people will be doing stuff to get the second car in front of people and stuff like that. I think you saw how hard I raced yesterday, me and Brodie Kostecki, and throughout the season. I’ll make sure I race hard at Adelaide. There’s no point hiding that."
