Payton Westcott stormed to her maiden victory in the reverse grid race at the F1 Academy Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort. The young driver made the most of her pole position to lead from start to finish, despite intense pressure from her rivals.
The chaotic race was marked by post-qualifying penalties and incidents involving several drivers. Payton Westcott, who originally qualified eighth, moved to pole after Megan Bruce was penalized. Meanwhile, wildcard Zoe Florescu had to start from the back of the grid after being disqualified from qualifying due to a technical infringement on her engine oil.
Larsen impressed by climbing to third place on lap six, beating Felbermayr in a tight battle. Meanwhile, the midfield fight heated up, with Ella Lloyd pressuring Megan Bruce for seventh place.

With this result, Westcott has established herself as a driver to watch in this season's F1 Academy. This victory also gives her valuable momentum ahead of the main race later this weekend.
The F1 Academy Dutch GP main race will determine whether Westcott can maintain her excellent form or if other drivers like Nina Gademan will bounce back.
