After a long summer break, the FIM MotoJunior series returned to action this weekend at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia for round five of the 2025 calendar. As expected, the battles in each class heated up—some riders cemented their dominance, while others started to feel the championship within reach.
Moto3 Junior: Cano Untouchable
Carlos Cano was the star of the day in Valencia. The CFMOTO Aspar Junior Team rider claimed a double victory—winning both races—and significantly strengthened his hold on the championship lead. In both races, he had to fend off fierce opposition from his CFMOTO stablemates: Yaroslav Karpushin finished second in both, while Fernando Bujosa completed the podium in race two.
Race one went smoothly for Cano, who won ahead of Karpushin. However, in race two, the margins tightened. Cano won again, but with a slender advantage over his pursuers. Kiandra Ramadhipa deserves a mention: starting from 12th, he impressed by finishing sixth in race two, after taking tenth in race one. Thanks to this double win, Cano leaves Valencia with an even bigger lead in the standings—now on 144 points, 35 ahead of Karpushin.
Moto2 European: Pawelec Still on Top
In the Moto2 class, only one race was held in Valencia. Milan Pawelec arrived as the championship leader, but started from eighth—his worst qualifying of the season. Pole position went to Alessandro Morosi, joined on the front row by Eric Fernandez and Jacob Roulstone. Despite a less-than-ideal start, Pawelec managed to win at Ricardo Tormo. That victory keeps him at the top of the standings, even though rivals like Unai Orradre, Eric Fernandez, and Morosi are clearly eyeing a chance to close the gap. Notably, Pawelec came to Valencia after dominating both races at Magny-Cours, where he extended his lead at the top.
Moto4 European Cup: Lucas and Pritelli Share Wins
Valencia was a crucial moment for Alvaro Lucas, who arrived with a 36-point advantage over Lorenzo Pritelli. Mathematically, he could seal the title here. But there was another name on the rise: Victor Cubeles, who took his first win at Magny-Cours, was in great form and claimed his first pole in the category, ahead of Lucas and Pritelli. In race one, it was Lucas who emerged victorious, showing his composure under pressure.
The title fight this season has been intense, involving Lucas, Pritelli, Cubeles, Mateo Marulanda, and Edoardo Savino. At Magny-Cours, wins were shared between Cubeles and Pritelli, while Lucas took two second places—still maintaining a huge lead in the standings. In Valencia, race two went to Pritelli, keeping him in the hunt.
Stock European: Fellon Charges, Ruiz Penalised
Lorenzo Fellon arrived in Valencia in strong form. The French rider took his first win in Stock ECh at Magny-Cours, and this weekend he added his first pole position in the category with a 1:36.330 lap.
