The Bend Classic returns to celebrate Australia's rich motorsport heritage. Held from October 2-4, the event has quickly grown into one of the nation's premier historic motorsport celebrations, offering fans a unique opportunity to see the cars of yesteryear raced flat-out on track.
From Formula 5000s and historic touring cars to exotic sportscars, the event caters to every historic motorsport fan. The centrepiece remains the Port Wakefield Trophy for historic touring cars, where classic Australian muscle such as Ford Falcon GTs and Holden Monaros battle it out against the best of Europe and the United States, including Mini Coopers, Lotus Cortinas, Chevrolet Camaros, and Ford Mustangs.
Open wheel fans are also well catered to, with the Adelaide International Trophy serving as the final round of the Australian Formula 5000 Series. Also on offer is Historic Formula Ford and Production Sportscars among a host of other open wheel and sportscar classes.
The event will celebrate the state's rich motorsport history outside of just the on-track product, with fans treated to car displays and unrivalled levels of paddock access. Outside of the motorsport action, Friday night brings a true festival feel with a rodeo, plus a concert on Saturday headlined by two greats of Australian country music in Lee Kernaghan and James Johnston.
