The race weekend at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace marks a truly monumental milestone for Nico Hulkenberg. The veteran German driver is set to contest his 269th Formula 1 Grand Prix start, an incredible achievement that pulls him level with Felipe Massa for joint ninth on the all-time list of drivers with the most F1 race appearances.
For the Audi works driver, the Interlagos circuit holds deeply emotional memories and a strong history of competitive performances. He famously secured his maiden pole position at this iconic venue back in 2010 and notably led the race during his stint with Force India in 2012. The demanding nature of the old-school layout combined with the unmatched passion of the local fans always brings out the best in the seasoned campaigner.
"This is a special place for me, no question about it," Hulkenberg said. "I like the city, the lifestyle of the Brazilians, and then this passion! I still remember driving towards the racetrack shortly after six in the morning in 2024, and thousands of people were standing there. You simply feel the love of the people in this city, not just for motorsport, but for life itself."
Beyond the personal milestone, the Audi garage in Interlagos is drawing massive attention with a completely revamped visual presentation for the cars driven by Hulkenberg and teammate Gabriel Bortoleto. The team has traded its usual silver and bright red scheme for a striking geometric Piso Paulista pattern inspired by the iconic sidewalk design of Sao Paulo.
Stefano Battiston, Chief Brand and Commercial Officer of the Audi Revolut F1 Team, explained that the unique livery was purposefully created to integrate the distinct cultural identity of the host city into every element of the team's weekend presence, uniting the car design, racing suits, and garage branding into a cohesive creative expression.
