The Australian national racing landscape is gearing up for a fresh wave of automotive entertainment with the official launch of SHIFT Nation for the 2027 season. Designed to break traditional boundaries, this innovative series aims to unite pure circuit competition with vibrant car culture to capture a wider audience of motorsports enthusiasts.
The concept is the brainchild of Australian Endurance Championship racer Steve Jukes alongside business partner Ben Alexander. Both founders recognized a shift in how fans consume racing globally, noting that modern spectators increasingly crave high-energy entertainment alongside traditional on-track battles.
The inaugural 2027 calendar features a robust five-event schedule comprising four multi-day festivals and one dedicated race meeting. The action kicks off in February at The Bend Motorsport Park before traveling across multiple states to iconic Australian racing venues.

Fans attending the festival weekends will witness a diverse mix of on-track action including circuit racing, time attack, drifting, and high-speed roll racing. Off the track, the paddock transforms into an automotive celebration featuring car club displays, live music concerts, family entertainment zones, and competitive sim racing.
Sanctioning and insurance for the entire championship will be officially provided by the Australian Auto-Sport Alliance (AASA). Organizers plan to reveal further details regarding competing racing categories, comprehensive programs, and official event partners ahead of the season opener.
