Maximo Quiles stole victory at the final corner of the Moto3 San Marino 2026 race, while Veda Ega Pratama had to settle for 18th place. The 20-lap race at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli was fiercely contested from the start.
David Almansa started from pole and led most of the race. However, Quiles, who was aggressive throughout, managed to overtake Almansa right before the finish line. Brian Uriarte completed the podium in third.
For Veda, the race was challenging. Starting from 15th, he briefly held a points position but gradually dropped back. He eventually finished 18th and failed to score points.

Veda's performance dip at Misano was influenced by several factors. He suffered back pain from a practice crash, though he was declared fit by the medical team. Additionally, the team struggled to find a setup that suited his riding style at this circuit.
As a rookie, Veda is still adapting to European circuits. The tight competition in the Moto3 midfield also makes his position vulnerable if he loses momentum.
Nevertheless, Veda remains seventh in the standings with 97 points. However, he is now only 3 points ahead of Hakim Danish, who finished 12th at Misano.
Quiles' victory strengthens his championship lead. Meanwhile, Veda must bounce back quickly to maintain his position in the top group.
