American sportswear behemoth Nike is heavily rumoured to be preparing a major return to the Formula 1 paddock for the first time since its iconic partnership with Michael Schumacher concluded back in 2002.
Speculation surrounding the brand's potential comeback intensified following the recent addition of a board member with strong ties to LVMH, the luxury conglomerate that secured a massive ten-year global partnership with Formula 1 starting in 2025.
The central figure driving these paddock whispers is Alexandre Arnault, who joined the board of Nike in mid-September while continuing his duties as deputy CEO of Moet Hennessy under the LVMH umbrella.

Historically, Nike's most prominent footprint in Grand Prix racing came through Michael Schumacher, who signed a personal endorsement deal with the brand in 1996 upon joining Ferrari.
According to Motorsport.com, that legendary association produced bespoke footwear known as the Nike Air Zoom Schu before the sportswear giant stepped away from top-tier motorsport when Ferrari transitioned to alternative suppliers in 2002.
