MotoGP riders showed their resignation at having to travel to Qatar, with Carlos Ezpeleta assuring that MotoGP is closely monitoring the evolving security situation in the Middle East amid ongoing regional conflicts.
The Qatar Grand Prix, celebrated as one of the most distinctive events on the global calendar and the pioneering night race in premier class history, has faced logistical questions following geopolitical tensions affecting airspace across the region.

Initially scheduled for April 12, the event was postponed to November 8, forcing subsequent rounds in Portugal and Valencia to be pushed back by a week to accommodate the revised end-of-season schedule.

Series management has maintained the new date since the announcement, pushing forward with operational preparations to ensure the paddock can successfully arrive in Doha in the coming weeks.
However, recent security incidents in the Gulf region, including reported missile disruptions impacting airport facilities in Saudi Arabia, have resulted in major flight adjustments and heightened scrutiny over regional stability.

Speaking on the matter, Ezpeleta reiterated that while preparations remain active, the championship's primary obligation is safeguarding every member of the paddock, the personnel, and the attending spectators.
"We're closely monitoring the situation," Ezpeleta stated regarding the championship's stance on executing the overseas round under current geopolitical circumstances.
"We're planning towards going to Qatar, but obviously the safety and well-being of all sort of the staff and fans is the number one priority. So we'll continue to monitor the situation," he added.
Addressing potential contingency protocols, Ezpeleta noted that organizers possess extensive experience in managing unforeseen logistical hurdles, drawing parallels to rapid relocation efforts seen during previous calendar disruptions.
Leading competitors also offered their perspectives on the upcoming trip, with Francesco Bagnaia emphasizing that careful evaluation is essential when safety is called into question, despite praising the unique spectacle offered by the Qatari venue.
