Williams has also underperformed relative to expectations, despite allocating substantial resources toward its 2026 development programme. The lack of immediate results highlights the competitive challenges posed by the current technical landscape.
With Mercedes setting the early benchmark and several leading teams struggling to match its performance, the 2026 season has already introduced a significant shift in the competitive hierarchy.
