Martin Ready for Aprilia Debut at Aragon to Seal MotoGP Title

Jorge Martin opened the second half of the season with confidence. After the summer break, the Aprilia rider successfully maintained his lead in the MotoGP standings at Silverstone. Now, Jorge Martin is gearing up for one of the most anticipated moments: his race debut with the RS-GP on home soil at MotorLand Aragon.

For Martin, Aragon is not just another track. In 2024, he finished second here—a result that gave him 20 crucial points in his journey to the world title. This season, he arrives as the championship leader, ahead of his teammate, Marco Bezzecchi, and of course with the mission to extend his advantage.

“We arrive at one of the home GPs in good shape. I am happy with the work we are doing with the team. At Silverstone we worked very well and I hope to continue on the same path. I really want to race in front of the Spanish fans and return to Aragon after missing this race last year,” Martin said, as quoted from FormulaPassion.

This will be his first time riding the Aprilia at MotorLand. “I like the layout. We will be focused on working as best as possible from Friday to get a good feeling on Saturday and Sunday,” he added. However, Martin is aware that the biggest challenge comes from his closest rival, Marc Marquez, who is known to be very strong at Aragon.

Martin's strategy is clear: minimize point loss and stay as close to Marquez as possible. He does not want to repeat the Sachsenring scenario that cost him many points. With Aprilia's performance improving, Martin's chances of solidifying his lead in the championship in front of his home crowd are wide open.

The pressure is fuel for him. All eyes will be on him this weekend—can Martinator deliver Aprilia's first win at Aragon? Let's watch together.
