Marc Marquez showcased his brilliance once again in MotoGP. The Ducati rider secured his eighth premier class victory at the Aragon Grand Prix, making a strong comeback after a difficult weekend at Silverstone.
Starting from second on the grid, Marc Marquez overtook polesitter Marco Bezzecchi on lap 7 of 23. Despite pressure from KTM's Pedro Acosta, Marquez held on to claim his fourth win of the season.
Bezzecchi, riding for Aprilia, couldn't match the pace of the leading duo but managed to secure third place, earning valuable points in the championship battle.
At the start, Marquez attempted to repeat his sprint move on Bezzecchi at Turn 1, but the Aprilia rider anticipated it and kept the lead. Jorge Martin briefly moved up to second, but Marquez repassed him at Turn 15, allowing Acosta to slip past as well.
After Martin dropped to fifth, a three-way fight for the lead emerged, with Bezzecchi leading Marquez and Acosta. Marquez made a brilliant pass on Bezzecchi at Turn 15 on lap 7, and Acosta followed through, dropping the Italian to third.
Marquez and Acosta then engaged in a fierce duel, but Marquez gradually pulled away after mid-race with a series of fastest laps, eventually winning by 1.7 seconds.
This victory moves Marquez to second in the standings, just 19 points behind leader Jorge Martin. Acosta finished second for his fourth podium of the year, while Bezzecchi completed the podium despite carrying injuries.
Alex Marquez finished fourth, followed by Martin, who couldn't recover from early-race drama. Fermin Aldeguer impressed with sixth place after returning from injury.
