Heading into the crucial MotoGP weekend in Malaysia, Marco Bezzecchi faces a massive challenge to close the 50-point gap to Marc Marquez in the overall championship standings with only four Grands Prix remaining. The Italian rider acknowledges that his title aspirations are hanging by a mathematical thread, yet he refuses to throw in the towel as long as the numbers still give him a fighting chance.
Speaking ahead of the on-track action at Sepang, the Italian rider emphasized his straightforward approach to the title fight. Rather than wasting precious mental energy worrying about his championship rivals, he remains entirely concentrated on extracting maximum performance from his machine during every single practice session.
If you want to recover the difference, you simply have to attack from the very first moment, Bezzecchi stated, outlining his aggressive mindset as he prepares to battle the fastest riders on the grid.

Addressing recent remarks regarding his championship potential, the Noale standout expressed gratitude while keeping his feet firmly planted on the ground. He noted that while 50 points is certainly a significant margin to overcome, anything can happen in the unpredictable environment of motorcycle Grand Prix racing.
I appreciate the kind words, but 50 points is still 50 points, it is not like they are zero! At the same time, anything can happen in racing, and I just want to focus on giving my absolute maximum, he explained.
Looking ahead to the on-track challenges at the Sepang International Circuit, the #72 rider adopted a cautious stance despite completing productive winter testing sessions at the same venue earlier in the year. He understands that Grand Prix race weekends present entirely unique variables in terms of tire degradation and track evolution.
I do not want to have too high expectations or think too far ahead. Winter tests are just tests, and a race weekend is completely different. I will only know where we truly stand once we head out on track, the Aprilia star concluded.
