The 2026 Women's Circuit Racing World Championship season officially concluded at the Circuito de Jerez in Spain, delivering a strong closing chapter for Lucy Michel. The German rider showcased a competitive pace in the season finale, engaging in a fierce battle right at the edge of the top-ten positions.
Over the course of the twelve-race calendar in 2026, Michel successfully broke into the points-scoring positions four times. Her consistent points finishes included a 13th place in Assen, a 12th position at Donington Park, followed by 15th and 12th-place results during the final weekend in Jerez de la Frontera. These results brought her total tally to 12 championship points, securing 19th place in the overall standings.
During the second race in Jerez, a top-ten finish was well within reach as Astrid Madrigal, Emely Bondi, and Michel crossed the finish line separated by less than half a second. Despite narrowly missing out on advancing further in the tightly packed group, the 21-year-old was all smiles when reflecting on her performance.

"It went back and forth, through the battles I lost a bit of momentum in one corner, which is why more wasn't possible at the end," Michel explained regarding the intense track action. "Everyone tries to block the inside line in the last corner, but we are satisfied."
Michel's impressive trajectory as the sole German-speaking participant on the grid earned her special praise from TSL boss Stefan Laux, who commended her notable development. Proof of her upward curve was highlighted by a fastest race lap that was over half a second quicker than her qualifying benchmark.
"Two weeks ago we were testing here, and it makes a huge difference when you have ridden the bike there beforehand," Michel noted. "That just shows what is possible when you test on the tracks beforehand."
Looking ahead to next year, whether Michel will continue competing in the women's world championship remains open due to upcoming technical shifts. The series will transition to new standard motorcycles from CF Moto replacing Yamaha, alongside a tire supplier switch from Pirelli to Michelin, while securing the necessary budget remains an ongoing task.
"I will definitely continue to build up my physical condition, strength train, and ride motorcycles over the winter," she promised. Meanwhile, the final race victory went to 19-year-old Spanish rider Paola Ramos, who successfully claimed the World Championship bronze medal.
