Lego will bring its distinctive drivers’ parade back for the 2026 British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit. In a change from the previous format, all 22 Formula 1 drivers will receive an individual driveable mini car capable of reaching 25 mph.
The concept has been developed from the 2025 Miami Grand Prix parade, when Lego produced 10 life-sized cars for the drivers. The event developed into an unexpected spectacle as several cars made contact on the circuit, becoming one of the most widely discussed entertainment moments of the season.
For Silverstone, Lego has changed the structure by producing 22 individual vehicles so every driver can control a separate car. The format should create greater interaction between the competitors while providing a different form of entertainment before the weekend’s principal track action.

Each vehicle is built from more than 28,000 bricks and weighs approximately 280 kilograms. Around 65 kilograms of that total comes from Lego bricks, while the complete project required more than 6,400 hours of work at the company’s facility in the Czech Republic.
“We always listen to our fans, and it was clear from the 2025 Miami Grand Prix Drivers Parade that both fans and drivers wanted more,” said Chief Product and Marketing Officer Julia Goldin.
Goldin described the Silverstone concept as a 2.0 version featuring an entirely new format intended to deliver additional entertainment. Moving from 10 life-sized cars to one vehicle for every driver expands the scale of the parade and increases the potential for spontaneous interaction.
Formula 1 Chief Commercial Officer Emily Prazer believes the Miami parade successfully revealed a different side of the championship. She said the partnership with the Lego Group combines innovation, creativity and entertainment in a format capable of engaging fans across different age groups.
“This year, we’re building on that moment to create an incredible spectacle for fans attending the British Grand Prix and those watching globally,” Prazer said.
The Lego mini-car parade forms part of Formula 1’s wider effort to expand the race-weekend experience beyond competitive track sessions. With every driver controlling an individual vehicle, the Silverstone edition has the potential to become another defining entertainment moment of the 2026 British Grand Prix.
