KTM has confirmed that its factory MotoGP team will continue to receive backing from Red Bull after the two Austrian companies agreed a new contract extension for the 850cc era.
The length of the renewed agreement was not disclosed. However, the deal guarantees that the RC16 will continue to carry Red Bull’s logo and distinctive livery when MotoGP introduces its new 850cc engine regulations and Pirelli tyres.

Red Bull has served as KTM’s title sponsor since the manufacturer entered the premier class in 2017. The partnership extends beyond the visual identity of the motorcycles and includes support both at the circuit and behind the scenes.

“Red Bull and KTM just go together. It has been a great partnership for so long and is much more than just the colours of the bikes,” said KTM motorsport director Pit Beirer.
Beirer stressed that Red Bull’s support remains important to KTM’s racing programme. He also said both organisations still have several objectives they want to achieve together as MotoGP prepares for its next technical cycle.

The extension gives KTM commercial stability ahead of a major change to its MotoGP package. The Austrian manufacturer will enter the 850cc era with a new factory rider line-up of Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio replacing Pedro Acosta and Brad Binder.
It remains unclear whether Red Bull’s backing will also continue with the satellite Tech3 team in 2027. Tech3 owner Guenther Steiner has already confirmed that the squad’s riders next season will be contracted directly to the team rather than KTM.
