The intensive testing program conducted by the Hyundai manufacturer team in the Jamsa region of Finland has continued to draw massive attention from global rally observers since the beginning of the week. Former top-tier WRC driver Kris Meeke was entrusted to take full control behind the wheel of the Rally2 specification car across cold gravel stages covered in morning frost.
The weather conditions in Jamsa presented a unique challenge for this development program. Meeke reported that the road surface was extremely slick during the morning sessions due to freezing temperatures, though grip levels gradually improved as the ambient temperature rose toward midday.
Rumours had previously circulated within the paddock that the South Korean manufacturer might be developing a new WRC Kit package for the machine. However, direct observations on site revealed no major external differences or radical body modifications compared to the standard Rally2 model currently competing globally.

Engineers only noted a few minor distinct details on the test mule, namely a noticeably wider roof scoop and covered black triangles positioned on the front bumper. Otherwise, the overall aerodynamic shape and body structure maintained the standard regulations familiar to competitors.
This closed-door testing agenda is scheduled to continue on Wednesday at the same venue. According to reports from RallyJournal, the steering wheel is expected to be handed over to another experienced driver, as Meeke is scheduled to travel to Portugal to contest the European Rally Championship season finale later this week.
