The MotoGP paddock at the Sepang International Circuit has delivered mixed fortunes for two Spanish riders this weekend. Jorge Martin has been officially declared fit by the medical staff to continue his participation in the remainder of the Malaysian Grand Prix weekend after completing the opening Free Practice session in 20th place, nearly two seconds off the pace.
This crucial clearance brings a wave of relief to the Aprilia camp, who watched closely as their reigning world champion tested his physical limits on the RS-GP machine. During a demanding FP1 session under the scorching Malaysian sun, Martin worked tirelessly to find his footing amidst a intense field led by pacesetter Marc Marquez.
On the other hand, compatriot Raul Fernandez has been forced to abort his entire weekend campaign after attempting to run in the opening practice session. The Trackhouse Racing rider was ultimately denied clearance to race by the medical director following the conclusion of FP1.

According to reports from FormulaPassion, the medical panel evaluated Fernandez and ruled that he was unfit to continue competing for the rest of the Grand Prix event. This sudden withdrawal leaves the Trackhouse squad shorthanded as they head into the crucial Practice sessions without their regular rider.
With Martin given the green light to press on, the focus now shifts toward afternoon adjustments and tyre management as teams prepare for the high-stakes qualifying battles ahead on the Sepang tarmac.
