Jack Miller was left heartbroken after his final home appearance in the premier class ended without any racing action due to extreme weather conditions.
Heavy rain and poor visibility forced event organisers to cancel the Australian Grand Prix main race at Phillip Island because the medical helicopter was unable to fly safely.
This disappointing conclusion also marked the end of Phillip Island’s long-standing run as the host venue for the Australian Grand Prix before the championship relocates to Adelaide.

For Jack Miller, the weekend carried immense sentimental value ahead of his high-profile switch to the World Superbikes championship with Yamaha in 2027.
Expressing his deep disappointment on social media, the Australian rider wrote, "Bloody hell, Phillip Island. You really know how to break a bloke’s heart."
He further stated, "Pretty gutted, to be honest. My last home MotoGP race, and we didn’t even get to race. After such a strong weekend, it’s a tough one to swallow."
The cancellation was particularly frustrating given his strong pace throughout the weekend, which saw him qualify fifth on the grid and secure his first sprint points of the season on Saturday.
He had also prepared a special livery as a tribute to the passionate local fans who braved the elements to show their unwavering support.
"To every single one of you who turned up, braved the traffic, the rain and the bloody awful weather to support us, thank you. You guys have been absolutely unreal, not just this weekend but throughout my whole MotoGP career," he added.
While he did not get the chance to race in his special colors on Sunday, the popular rider will return to the venue for the opening round of the 2027 WorldSBK season.
