Isack Hadjar Makes Bold Claim That Max Verstappen Would Dominate in a Ferrari
TO NEWS OVERVIEW
Max Verstappen has taken two consecutive dominant F1 wins

Isack Hadjar has delivered a provocative claim ahead of the United States Grand Prix by asserting that Max Verstappen would have secured an even more dominant victory at the Singapore Grand Prix if he had been driving a Ferrari. While the four-time world champion has enjoyed back-to-back commanding wins in Malaysia and Singapore, his Red Bull teammate firmly believes that their current machinery is not the fastest car in Formula 1.

Despite Verstappen executing a flawless weekend under the lights of Marina Bay, Hadjar argues that the Dutchman's success was largely driven by exceptional driver skill rather than pure aerodynamic or mechanical superiority over the competition. He maintains that the Red Bull challenger remains notoriously difficult to drive across various circuit layouts.

Speaking to media members in Austin on Thursday, Hadjar offered his candid assessment of the pecking order at the front of the grid. He pointed out that while their performance in Malaysia was undeniably strong, the narrative surrounding their outright pace in Southeast Asia does not tell the full story.

“I don't think we have the fastest car,” Hadjar stated, as reported by Crash.net. “I think the car is still very hard to drive. In Malaysia, it was dominant, but I don't think in Singapore it was the fastest car.”

“That's what I believe. I think if you put Max in the Ferrari, he would have won the race with more margin. So that's my opinion. In Singapore, I think [Ferrari] was the fastest car.” He further emphasized that Verstappen's narrow pole position margin in Q3 was secured through maximized execution rather than a definitive car advantage.

Elsewhere, McLaren charger Oscar Piastri weighed in on Red Bull's sudden surge in competitiveness, noting that the upgrades introduced since the Azerbaijan Grand Prix have propelled them to the front of the consistency battle.

“I think Red Bull definitely took a pretty big step forward over the last triple header,” Piastri remarked, acknowledging that telemetry data consistently highlights Ferrari's supreme cornering speeds despite their recurring top-speed deficits on the straights.
