Red Bull driver Isack Hadjar has been handed a formal warning by the Mexico Grand Prix stewards following an altercation with a fan in the Formula 1 paddock ahead of the opening practice session. The incident immediately drew the attention of race officials as it constituted a breach of established conduct regulations within the premier motorsport championship.
The event occurred at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez when Isack Hadjar, representing Red Bull Racing, was making his way through the congested paddock. He was initially summoned by the stewards to address an alleged misconduct incident on Friday after being approached by a paddock guest attempting to secure a selfie without prior consent.
According to the official stewards' report, Isack Hadjar stated that he was running late for the first practice session and had briefly stopped to take a photograph with a young fan before being approached by the guest in an aggressive manner. With security personnel unable to intervene effectively, the situation escalated into an invasion of the driver's personal space.

Taking mitigating circumstances into account—such as insufficient security presence, the uninvited and aggressive approach, and the general difficulties drivers face navigating crowded paddocks—the stewards acknowledged the provocation. However, because the driver physically pushed the individual aside with an open hand, the action constituted a clear breach of Article 12.2.1.l of the International Sporting Code.
Aside from the off-track drama, Friday proved to be a frustrating on-track affair for Isack Hadjar, who struggled to an 11th-place finish in FP1 due to power unit issues. He later bounced back to sixth position in FP2, trailing pacesetter Charles Leclerc and teammate Max Verstappen.
