Late October marks another pivotal chapter for Jorge Martin at the Sepang International Circuit, a venue that holds a complex history with his Aprilia journey since their initial tests in February 2025. This time, the reigning world champion is determined to take matters into his own hands rather than watching from the sidelines, aiming to keep his championship hopes alive aboard the RS-GP.
Following a heavy crash during the Sprint race in Phillip Island that resulted in a fracture in his right forearm, Martin received unexpected breathing room when the main Grand Prix in Australia was cancelled. After passing initial medical assessments upon arriving in Malaysia, the Spaniard secured provisional clearance to participate, though he still faces a final mandatory check by medical director Dr. Charte following the opening practice session.
This courageous bid to race has drawn widespread reactions from fellow MotoGP contenders. Championship leader Marc Marquez voiced his full support for Martin's presence on the grid, emphasizing that competitive integrity benefits when all contenders are fighting on track.

"I think it's good that Jorge is here. For the championship situation, it is better if he races," Marquez noted, adding that racing adrenaline acts as a powerful natural painkiller.
Teammate Marco Bezzecchi echoed the sentiment, stating he would take the exact same risk given how close the championship battle remains. As the weekend unfolds, all eyes will be on the #1 machine to see if sheer willpower can overcome a freshly broken bone.
