Tension continues to grip the MotoGP paddock as manufacturers take contrasting stances ahead of the upcoming flyaway round. Amid ongoing regional conflict concerns and heightened safety debates, Honda has officially confirmed its commitment to competing in the upcoming race at the Lusail International Circuit in Qatar.
The confirmation arrived via an official release from Honda HRC following Yamaha's dramatic decision to withdraw entirely from the Middle Eastern event. "Honda HRC will compete in Round 20 of the MotoGP World Championship held in Qatar," the manufacturer stated, adding that they have worked closely with riders, team members, and series promoters to ensure the weekend proceeds safely.
Meanwhile, the situation remains complicated within the garage as Joan Mir has cast doubt on his own participation due to recurring physical ailments. The Spanish rider admitted that his troublesome blurred vision returned during the Malaysian Grand Prix weekend, forcing him to carefully evaluate his fitness before committing to the next grueling race.

This friction follows intense rider meetings held across consecutive weekends in Australia and Malaysia, where a formal letter signed by the majority of the grid was reportedly dispatched to championship organizers to express widespread dissatisfaction over staging an event amid geopolitical uncertainty.
Despite the brewing controversy, racing action will still feature strong representation lower down the order. The Pramac Moto2 outfit confirmed their independent entry, meaning contenders like Izan Guevara will be on track as the championship battle approaches its thrilling climax.
