Russell’s total could have surpassed the 700-lap mark, but two power unit changes limited his overall mileage. Despite the interruptions, Mercedes maintained a heavy long-run programme focused on reliability validation and correlation work under the new 2026 regulations.
Second overall was rookie Arvid Lindblad, who accumulated 654 laps for Racing Bulls. Lindblad’s standout contribution came on the final day in Bahrain, where he logged 165 laps — the highest single-day total of the test — propelling him ahead of Charles Leclerc.
Leclerc finished third with 651 laps for Ferrari, underlining the Scuderia’s emphasis on sustained mileage and system validation. Further down the order, Max Verstappen and Lando Norris were separated by just seven laps, reflecting differing run plans between Red Bull and McLaren.
At the lower end of the table, Lance Stroll completed only 139 laps for Aston Martin, a deficit of 549 laps compared to Russell. The variation in mileage highlights contrasting testing priorities and reliability challenges ahead of the season opener.
