Former Formula 1 driver Jean Alesi admitted he was unsurprised by the fierce independence shown by the marquee signing. Speaking in his post-race analysis with Corriere della Sera, the French veteran noted that such friction was almost inevitable given previous tensions regarding the team's operational workflow.
Despite the strategic misstep, Alesi was quick to praise the underlying pace of the SF-26 chassis, which showed competitive speed right from Friday practice sessions, offering strong reassurance regarding the ongoing development trajectory within the Maranello factory.
