Toprak Razgatlioglu has issued a warning about Nicolo Bulega ahead of his MotoGP debut in 2027, claiming the Italian is already adapted to the Ducati 850cc machine on Pirelli tyres.

Ducati announced before the San Marino Grand Prix that WorldSBK dominator Bulega will join the VR46 MotoGP team next season. The move comes after Bulega played a key role in developing Ducati's 850cc bike on Pirelli rubber, which will be the spec tyre from 2027.

Razgatlioglu, who will also benefit from the switch to Pirelli tyres with Pramac, believes Bulega will hit the ground running. "He's already adapted. He did only Pirelli tyres tests, 850 and Pirelli tyres. I think he did testing 12 or 14 times," the Turkish rider said at Misano on Thursday.

"He will become stronger because everyone tries to adapt the bike. He's already adapted and just starting the testing immediately fast. This is good for him because I don't have this opportunity. I just moved to the GP paddock with Michelin."

Razgatlioglu added that he is happy for Bulega, who he believes deserves the opportunity. "He's young and did a really good job in Superbike. Especially his riding style is like a MotoGP rider. I think he's adapting more easily to 850 because Superbike and 850 is not a big difference; the speed side and riding style very close."

The Pramac rider also revealed he had previously urged Ducati to keep Bulega and promote him to MotoGP. "When I was racing in Superbike, I always said to Ducati, keep him and bring him to MotoGP. Now, finally, they are bringing him. This is good for him. I hope his career gets much better."
