Thierry Neuville will contest the Tampereen Lattiamestarit Rally as part of Hyundai’s preparation for Rally Finland 2026 one week later.
The event takes place on roads around the city of Tampere and will be used by Hyundai to fine-tune the car’s set-up before one of the fastest rounds on the FIA World Rally Championship calendar.
Rally Finland is known for ultra-fast gravel roads and frequent jumps, demanding an exact balance from both car and driver. Hyundai views the roads around Tampere as a relevant proving ground because they closely resemble the conditions expected in Central Finland.

The programme carries significant value for Hyundai because it gives Neuville the chance to evaluate the latest car updates in competitive conditions. The team’s engineers will focus particularly on suspension performance and aerodynamic efficiency at high speed.
Neuville currently sits fifth in the World Rally Championship standings. In that context, the Tampere run could become an important part of his title push after winning Rally Portugal in May and finishing runner-up at the Acropolis Rally Greece last time out.
“The Rally Finland is the fastest and most demanding event of the season. Every test kilometre we complete in these conditions is extremely valuable to us,” Hyundai management said.
Rally Finland is scheduled to take place from 30 July to 2 August. Hyundai will use the Tampereen Lattiamestarit Rally to refine its car configuration before the main competitive week in the WRC calendar.
