Great news for racing fans in Germany. Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has admitted that the German Grand Prix could make a comeback to the calendar in the near future. This comes as a breath of fresh air after Germany's long absence from the pinnacle of motorsport.

Germany was once one of the most anticipated rounds, with legendary circuits like Hockenheim and the Nurburgring alternating as hosts. However, since 2019, the German name has disappeared from the race list. Now, with major manufacturers like Mercedes and Audi involved, as well as veteran driver Nico Hulkenberg, the potential for a German GP revival is growing.

Domenicali, in his statement, emphasized the importance of the German market for F1. "We must not forget that Audi is stepping into the business. We have big partners based in Germany. Germany now wants us to think in the medium term whether they can come back to the calendar," he said. He added that Germany could become a very interesting market, both from a media and promoter perspective, as it was 20 years ago.

Although nothing is certain yet, this signal indicates that F1 and Germany are exploring a new agreement. If realized, it would be huge news for fans longing for the unique atmosphere of the German GP, with packed grandstands and the distinct roar of Hockenheim or the Nurburgring.

The last time Germany hosted a GP, it was at the Nurburgring in 2020 under the Eifel Grand Prix banner as a replacement during the pandemic. Since then, the F1 calendar has become busier with new venues, but Germany's presence remains significant, especially with manufacturer support and a large fan base.
