BIOGRAPHY

Jorge Martín is a Spanish MotoGP rider famously known by the nickname "The Martinator." He made major history by becoming the first independent team rider in the modern MotoGP era to win the World Championship title in 2024. Known for his extraordinary raw speed, explosive riding style, and dominance in qualifying sessions and Sprint races, Martín is one of the most brilliant talents and aggressive challengers on the current MotoGP grid.

Career Journey

  • Early Career & Moto3 Glory (2015–2018): After winning the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup in 2014, Martín moved up to the Moto3 class. His talent was further honed, peaking in the 2018 season, where he put on a dominant display with 7 victories and 11 pole positions to lock in the Moto3 World Championship title with Gresini Racing.
  • Moto2 Transition & Impressive MotoGP Debut (2019–2022): Following two solid seasons in Moto2, Martín was promoted to the premier class in 2021 with Prima Pramac Racing (Ducati). His debut was astonishing; he secured a pole position in only his second race and successfully won the Styrian GP in his rookie season, earning him the Rookie of the Year title despite missing several races due to a severe injury in Portimao.
  • Peak Performance & Historic World Championship (2023–2024): After finishing as the runner-up behind Francesco Bagnaia in a fiercely contested 2023 season, Martín showed incredible consistency in 2024. With a mentality of steel and a massive points haul from both Sprints and main races, he successfully clinched the 2024 MotoGP World Championship crown, carving out a glorious history as a champion from a satellite/independent team.
  • A New Chapter & Tough Test at Aprilia (2025–Present): Entering as the defending champion, Martín took on a new challenge by moving to the Aprilia Racing factory team for the 2025 season. Unfortunately, his debut season with the Noale manufacturer was hampered by a series of serious injuries that forced him to miss multiple rounds. Entering the 2026 season with his physical fitness restored, Martín is determined to bounce back and lead the development project of the Aprilia RS-GP alongside his teammate, Marco Bezzecchi, aiming to return to winning ways.
