BIOGRAPHY

Fau Zaldivar, also known as Fabrizio Zaldivar, is a Paraguayan professional rally driver competing in the World Rally Championship (WRC). Born on 8 February 2001, Zaldivar began his international career at a young age and made his WRC debut at Rally Sweden in 2019. He progressed through junior categories and Rally2 competition, gaining experience in WRC3 and WRC2. Zaldivar has become one of Paraguay's young drivers competing actively on the international rally stage while gradually building experience across different WRC rally conditions. During his career, he has driven several Rally2 cars, including the Hyundai i20 N Rally2 and Škoda Fabia RS Rally2. In the 2026 season, Zaldivar competes in the WRC2 Challenger category with a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 alongside co-driver Marcelo Der Ohannesian. His programme includes several WRC rounds and represents an important stage in his development as an international rally driver. Zaldivar also competed at the 2026 Rally del Paraguay, his home event and one of the key rounds on the WRC calendar. He was running in a podium position before an incident on the Artigas test on the final day cost him significant time and positions. Before reaching WRC2 level, Zaldivar gained valuable experience in support categories and established himself as one of Paraguay's emerging rally talents. At an age relatively young compared with many experienced WRC2 competitors, Zaldivar continues to develop his technical skills, pace, and understanding of rally strategy. His international participation strengthens Paraguay's representation in the World Rally Championship and continues the country's growing tradition of producing competitive rally drivers.
